Update to Fingernail Collection
Dear Valued Clients:
To help you have the best possible solutions that science can offer, we are consistently evaluating our processes to keep them ahead of the curve. As science progresses, so do our capabilities. Because of such progress, we have some important updates to the fingernail collection process. Effective immediately, the following changes will take effect:
- All cosmetic treatments must be completely removed, and nails must be clear of any cosmetic treatment residue prior to collection.
- Do not collect the nail if it has unusual appearance such as unnatural discoloration due to cosmetic treatments or non-cosmetic debris/residue.
These changes to our fingernail collection procedures were made after carefully considering what collection processes would best ensure the integrity and validity of our clients’ testing results. All collection instructions are available on our website for review. If you have any questions regarding these changes to our fingernail collection guidelines, please contact our client advocates at 800.235.2367, or at clientservices@usdtl.com.
Sincerely,
Adam Negrusz, Ph.D.
