USDTL COVID-19 Operations Update

First, we want to say thank you to everyone on the frontlines during this societal concern. We are grateful for your commitment to serving and protecting our communities. We couldn’t get through this without dedicated people like you.  

During this time we have been fully staffed and able to process specimens normally so our efficient turnaround times have remained largely unaffected.

Generally, the standard turnaround time for reporting negative screening test results is the next business day, with an additional 1-2 business days for specimens that require confirmatory testing. Turnaround time begins from receipt of the valid specimen -accompanied by a properly documented valid order- into the laboratory. Some tests require additional time to process and will fall outside the standard turnaround time window.

At this time, we do not anticipate having reduced staffing or a delay in reporting testing results. However, should that need arise, we will inform you immediately.
